Hello,  my name is Julie Dechamps. Like many others in March 2020 I was furloughed and decided to make use of my time helping others. I joined several volunteering groups supporting the elderly and vulnerable.  Supporting others gave me a stronger sense of purpose and satisfaction than any job in my career. This inspired me to set up my own home help service called Gemini Support.

I want to help you continue to live at home and be independent. I understand that it sometimes isn’t easy asking for help and letting a stranger into your home can be scary. I promise to respect your privacy and work with you in whatever way you feel comfortable with.

I can help you by:

Going shopping for you, including unpacking and putting away if required

Taking you to the shops

Helping with the household chores like cleaning and ironing, cleaning windows

Cutting the grass, weeding the garden, sweeping the leaves off the drive

Sitting with you for a chat and a cup of tea

Taking you to doctors appointments, hospital appointments, hairdresser appointments or just a drive out for a change of scenery

Feeding your small pets whilst you are away
