Hi! We are a community group, operating allotments in Crockenhill, with the aim to improve mental health through our participation in growing healthy, fresh foods in a refreshing, outdoors location.
We grow a variety of vegetables and fruits, and are keen to encourage new joiners to get involved and learn. We ourselves are very much learning as we go, seeking to discover as a group.
If you feel like this might benefit you, or you simply want to join us for a chat and a coffee to see what all the fuss is about, we would love to hear from you!
We go up twice a week, normally Thursdays and Saturdays, but we would be happy to accommodate any reasonable requests for other days/times. We also have a group WhatsApp where we can keep each other up to date on the progress of the allotments. We would encourage anyone seeking to join to get in contact with us and make arrangements. We definitely don’t bite!
Due to the nature of the project, access is understandably difficult without a car. Should it prove beneficial, we can offer lifts from Swanley and its locale to the allotment (and back again). Please don’t be put off by location, we came prepared!
