My name is Suzie and I am the founder of Guiding Hands.

As a qualified social worker, I provide professional, reliable and trusted support and advocacy for older adults.

Whether its attending appointments, taking notes, liaising with professionals, or helping with day to day tasks. I am here to support you. If you wish, I also keep your family updated, so they stay informed without the pressure of rearranging work or other commitments.

I also help by identifying any additional support you might need, offering guidance, and connecting you with the right services or community resources, making sure everything is handled thoughtfully and with care.

My role is as a consistent compassionate point of contact. Giving you peace of mind, helping you stay independent, and making sure your wishes are always understood and respected.

  • Attending medical appointments
  • Taking notes and writing reports for you or your family
  • Liaising with professionals to make sure your needs are understood
  • Helping arrange appointments and manage schedules
  • Supporting you on outings, such as shopping, vet visits, or going for coffee
  • Managing correspondence
  • Advocating for you if you would like support in discussions with professionals
  • Being a consistent point of contact for you and your family.

Please note: I do not provide personal care.
