Ask to see a provider’s portfolio

This symbol means that the enterprise leader has a portfolio (folder) containing all the elements that show how they meet our Doing It Right Standards. It will provide you with information on the way that they work, checks they have in place, policies, procedures, and more. You can ask to see it to help you make any care choices.

Hi, I’m Jayne living in Pontypridd.  I am very excited to be able to offer my services as someone who can provide care and support to individuals in their own homes and in their own community. I value people, and,  together with my caring, patient and genuinely warm personality,  I seek to support individuals by working with them to achieve their goals by putting them first – the kind of support that can make such a positive difference to a person’s life. These qualities held me in good stead in my career in the NHS where I worked for over 35 years.

I have brought up 4 children, and very much enjoy: family life, coffee and chats with friends, being amongst – and admiring – nature, gardening, days out and being with my dog Juno.

My role as a carer can support individuals in the following ways:

  • Help with personal care.
  • Assisting clients to meet with their friends.
  • Providing transport and accompanying to appointments and shopping trips.
  • Companionship and conversation.
  • Light housework.
  • Meal assistance.
  • Accompanying to events in the community, and visits – such as garden centres, local cafes, pubs and museums.
  • Assistance with laundry and bed changing.
  • Accompanying on walks to support wellbeing.
  • Light gardening.
  • Dog walking and pet care.
  • Carer breaks.
  • Support not included above can be considered.

A personalised care and support package can be discussed in an informal, initial meeting where clients and/or their families can explain their needs and I can answer any queries.
