My name is Linda and work part time as a care navigator at a GP surgery. Previously I worked for Suffolk Police for 21 years, giving advice and helping people over the telephone in many different ways. Since working at the surgery, I have realised how much I enjoy meeting and talking to people face to face, and have got to know some patients and their families very well. I have helped many of them with problems not necessarily health related.
I’m married with 2 adult children, and 2 grandchildren. I love animals, I have 2 dogs, 2 horses, and until recently several guinea pigs!
I offer my clients help with daily tasks, ordinary things we all take for granted and think we will always be able to do.
Admin – Helping you find the most competitive electric/gas/phone tariffs. Fill in forms / make phone calls / shred old documents / declutter / budgeting / online shopping etc.
Light housework – Vacuuming / dusting / change and make beds / laundry.
Food – I can help you with baking, or even make you a light meal.
Transport – Take you to appointments / trips out for lunch / visit friends etc. (Unfortunately I am unable to offer this on a “one off” basis, and can only provide this service to regular clients due to insurance constraints).
Help with hobbies and pets – I can help you finish that jigsaw ! I’ll take your doggie for a walk / to the vets / help you give your pets medication.
Companionship – Just being there when you need some company, a chat and a cup of tea.

Linda is friendly and professional, very helpful and easy to get on with. She gives feedback from visits if you're arranging care for a relative, my relative really looks forward to her visits. We're so pleased to have her as a companion carer, she's a real gem!

Linda Barley came to look after my disabled husband while I was away recently. She was very prompt and extremely efficient and my husband found her very good company. We would have no hesitation in recommending her services.
