My name is Mandy, I live locally. I have a good sense of humour and I’m kind, compassionate, caring and reliable. I can provide a bespoke independent support service to individuals on a one to one basis in their homes and in their local community.

The types of support I can offer include:

Personal care and support with medication

Transport to appointments, social events or activities

Meal preparation, help around the home, support to access indoor and outdoor activities

Support to promote and improve social skills and engage with local groups

Arts and crafts

Promoting self esteem and confidence building

I am fully DBS checked, insured and qualified and am happy to tailor my support to your individual needs.

Mandy is a first class carer , she looked after our son Luke who is a non verbal down syndrome 31 year old boy , Mandy cared for Luke for 2 years and from day 1 she was able to build a relationship which made him smile laugh everytime he went out , Luke really enjoyed having Mandy around , She helped us give Luke care when we needed to work or have time for a night out . Would recommend Mandy to anyone, just what you would want from a carer.

Mandy supports Mam (and me) twice weekly. She displays patience, empathy and an understanding of the difficulties faced by a person living with Altzheimers and their immediate family. She has a very endearing personality, bright and positive in attitude, though always professional in actions. She engages well to support mams interests enabling the necessary bond/familiarity to grow. Mandy is a good communicator, feeding back info from day care group, observations both + and- regarding mams wellbeing and also how I'm managing. Mandy is safety aware of mams physical and cognitive abilities but enables mam to do tasks she can successfully manage with support so as not to 'de skill' her. She has been flexible when there have been unavoidable changes of plan ...... much appreciated. Everybody needs a Mandy!!!

Mandy is an exceptional, person-centred carer with outstanding communication skills who has been caring for my mum, who lives with dementia, for nearly two years. She has developed a wonderful understanding of how to connect with my mum—knowing exactly how to speak with her, motivate her, and keep her engaged through meaningful activities. Most importantly, Mandy brings joy to their time together, making my mum laugh, encouraging conversation, and helping her reconnect with cherished memories. These moments of connection are absolutely invaluable for someone living with dementia. Since Mandy began caring for her, my mum has become noticeably more stimulated and happy. Mandy provides exactly the kind of compassionate, skilled support that someone like my mum needs, and I couldn't be more grateful for her dedication and genuine care.
