Hello, my name’s Donna, I live in Bruton and have done for the last 12 years.

My past jobs have been providing hairdressing from within a salon and at clients’ homes for 20 years. I then moved on to working as a carer in a residential care home in Frome, where I progressed onto becoming a Care Supervisor within the company, working days and nights. I worked there for 4 years, until the hours became too much for me to work around family life causing me to make the hard decision to leave. From there I started a new career as a 1-1 TA which I enjoy but I very quickly missed doing my care work, so here I am starting my own business offering home help to my community and surrounding areas.

I am caring, trustworthy, reliable and a compassionate person about the work I do and the service I can provide. I love to meet new people and listening to their life stories and share in different experiences. I am a good listener and enjoy a chat.

I am passionate about people having the choice to be cared for in their own home. Your care will be tailored to suit your needs because I believe that everyone is individual and has varying needs. I have experience of supporting clients with personal care, prompting with medication and encouraging individuals to stay as independent as possible so they can stay living in their own home.

I will work with you to be as flexible as I can be with everything you need help with. I recognise that it might be difficult to let home help into your life, but your privacy, choices and concerns will always be respected.

I hold a fully enhanced DBS, a clean driving licence and Public Liability Insurance.

I have up-to-date certificates relevant for the care sector.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, catching up on whichever tv series I’m into at such time and just chilling.
