Karuna Support

Availability information last updated: 22nd May, 2026

About Me:

Hello! I’m Neil, the founder of Karuna Support. Based in Devon, I offer friendly, 1-to-1 community support to help adults build confidence and independence.

My background spans history, arts, and technology, alongside qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. While my NHS experience was invaluable, I found traditional medical settings too rigid. I wanted to support people as individuals rather than a diagnosis, which is why I created a more personal, human alternative.

I am down-to-earth and highly practical. Whether you are navigating mental health recovery, neurodivergence (Autism/ADHD), or feeling isolated, I am here to work side-by-side with you.

How I Can Help You:

We focus entirely on your personal goals, working together on:

  • Daily Routines: Creating stress-free habits and coping strategies tailored to your brain.

  • Getting Back Outside: Gently rebuilding confidence in nature through relaxed visits to local woodlands and coastlines.

  • Reconnecting: Finding local creative hubs, wellness networks, or social groups that match your interests.

  • Independence: Developing practical life skills so you feel in control of your day.

The Practical Bits:

  • Who it’s for: Adults (18+) in Newton Abbot and surrounding Devon areas.

  • Funding: Direct Payments (Devon Card), Section 117 Aftercare, and private funding.

  • Peace of Mind: Fully insured, Enhanced DBS checked, with Class 1 business vehicle insurance for safe client transport.

Please get in touch for a completely relaxed, no-pressure chat!

Areas: Teignbridge, Torbay, South Devon
