Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through various stages of their lives, gaining invaluable experience in both general care and the more specialised areas of dementia care, post-stroke care and end of life care. Every person I’ve met has taught me something new, reinforcing my belief that truly excellent care is about more than just tasks – it’s about connection, respect, and fostering a sense of dignity.

Services I Provide:
As an independent carer, I offer a comprehensive range of personalised services designed to support well-being and independence within the comfort of your home. These include:
● Personal Care: Assistance with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
● Medication Management: Ensuring timely and accurate prompting and assisting of prescribed medications.
● Dementia Care: Specialised support focusing on cognitive stimulation, routine management, and compassionate engagement for individuals living with dementia.
● Companionship & Social Support: Engaging in meaningful activities, conversation, and escorting to appointments or social outings.
● Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
● Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
I welcome direct payment customers and self-funded customers. I am happy with the rate of 23 pounds per hour.
I welcome customers with disabilities, dementia, stroke survivors and people with complex needs.

Lana provided care for around 4 years when my mum was diagnosed with dementia and we needed additional support.
The level of care provided was exceptional and Lana became part of our “family” The bond between mum and Lana was evident as mum was treated with the highest level of respect and dignity.
There were trying times when mum was frustrated and confused but Lana never failed to find a way of encouraging her to engage, her patience and kindness was unmeasurable!

Lana was my elderly Mother’s carer and companion for 18 months. My Mother had dementia and Lana delt with her many moods with empathy and care. Lana is totally reliable, trustworthy, caring and hard working. Lana dealt with my Mother’s personal needs and helped with housework and shopping. She was a good companion with a sense of humour. She would take my Mother out in her wheelchairs most days. My Mother and all my siblings thought very highly of Lana and appreciated the way she supported and cared for our Mother.

Lana has been looking after us for several years. She is a qualified and experienced carer with an outgoing, bubbly personality.
She is punctual, hard working, proactive and understands the importance of companionship in a care relationship.
A safe pair of hand, she takes us for walks and to the gym. She has become one of the family. We look forward to her visits enormously.
