Can’t speak highly enough of Liz at Lilibet Sews , I have just completed 4 sewing lessons using my own sewing machine. Liz has helped me so much, with confidence, my mood and developing a new hobby that I wanted to do for so long , all in the comfort of my own home at a pace that suited myself. She is a great teacher and become a new friend too !

Helena,

Thank you so much for your beautiful words.
It’s been an absolute pleasure spending these four lessons with you, right there in the comfort of your own home.

Watching your confidence grow — not just with your sewing machine, but in yourself — has been incredibly special.

You’ve embraced every step with such openness and determination, and seeing your mood lift as you discovered a hobby you’ve wanted to explore for so long has been a joy.
Those moments where everything “clicked” for you were wonderful to witness.

I’m truly touched that you’ve felt supported, encouraged, and able to learn at a pace that felt right for you. And I’m even more grateful that, through all the stitches and laughter, we’ve built a lovely new friendship too.

Thank you for trusting me with your sewing journey. I’m so proud of how far you’ve come, and I can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you next.

Warmest wishes,
Liz – Lilibet Sews 💜

Liz at Lilibet Sews has such a wonderful gift.

I absolutely love the memory mamma bear she made for me — it brings a little bit of my mam back into my everyday life, and that means more than I can say.
Over the years she has created so many beautiful things for me: bags, a jumper, a scarf, tote bags… the list feels endless, and every piece has been made with such care and talent.
Her creativity is matched only by her calm, patient nature when she teaches. She makes learning feel easy and enjoyable, and it’s clear how much passion she puts into everything she does.
Endless talent, and a truly lovely person behind it.

Keri,
Thank you so much for your beautiful words.
Creating your memory mamma bear was an honour, and knowing it brings a little bit of your mam into your everyday life means more to me than you’ll ever know.

I’ve loved making each piece for you over the years — every bag, every cosy make, every little project stitched with care. Seeing them cherished is the greatest joy of what I do.

Thank you for your generosity, your support, and for being such a truly lovely soul. I’m so grateful for you.

I was considering purchasing an Industrial sewing machine to cope with lots of sewing for the Operation Christmas Child charity I volunteer with in Warrington as my home machine was slow and starting to struggle needing repair often due to excessive use . I own an interlocker ( Liz is used to this type of machine too ) but this is not suitable for secure seams I find .

Knowing Liz teaches sewing I contacted her to trail her machine . As they are extremely bulky and heavy so most homes would struggle to accommodate this type of machine . However Liz has hers set up in a garden room therefore I spent a day learning how to use her machine and we made about twenty bags together .

Her teaching was very clear , she is well conversant with this type of machine which makes light work , saves time and gave a good experience .and gave good advice about pricing structures for used and older machines for resale . I came away having a much better idea of what to avoid as it could be an expensive mistake . She also recommended a good industrial machine engineer she uses .

I would now be confident in purchasing this type of machine as have now got a clear idea of the pros and cons as Liz was a very competent and relaxed tutor . Just need a garden room now !
I would advise anyone to contact Liz to teach and understand the intricacies of these machines for sure . . Thanks Liz .

Thank you so much, Lynda, for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. It was a real pleasure spending the day with you, and I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed the lesson and now feel more confident with industrial sewing machines. They can be a bit daunting at first, but you took to it brilliantly.

I’m really glad the guidance on machine types, pricing, and what to look out for was helpful — avoiding an expensive mistake is half the battle. It was lovely making all those bags together too.

If you ever need a refresher or want to explore anything further, you’re always welcome. Wishing you all the best with your Operation Christmas Child sewing — they’re lucky to have you.

Thank you again for your kind words.

I’ve just finished 4 lessons with Liz at Lilibet Sews and honestly can’t recommend her enough.

I went in completely new to sewing, couldn't even turn the machine on. Four lessons and I've not only learnt a lot about how to use my machine and lots of tips, but I've also managed to sew a tote bag, make up bag and cushion cover with pocket. All under Liz's expert tuition!

Liz is incredibly patient, explains everything so clearly, and makes you feel completely at ease. She’s great company too, which makes the lessons genuinely enjoyable. If you’re thinking about learning to sew, definitely book with Liz. She’s brilliant!

Rachael,

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review!

It’s been an absolute joy to see you progress from switching on your machine for the first time to creating beautiful projects like your tote bag, make‑up bag, and reading cushion cover.

Your enthusiasm and determination have been inspiring, and I’m delighted you’ve enjoyed the lessons as much as I’ve enjoyed teaching them.

Knowing you felt at ease and had fun along the way means the world to me.

I’m so proud of what you’ve achieved in just four sessions, and I can’t wait to see where your sewing journey takes you next!
