I asked Liz to turn a tablecloth into a pair of curtains with very specific requirements. A second tablecloth (rectangular) was altered to fit a round table. Both jobs were exactly as I’d hoped for. Liz’s care and attention to detail to ensure I got what I’d asked for was so much appreciated. It’s clear how much she enjoys what she does. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a bespoke quality service. I am sure her attentiveness shines through in the lessons she gives.

Liz from Lilibet sews has brought out my confidence with sewing, I had not done any sewing since leaving school and she has patiently started at the beginning with me and I have completed a cushion, wash bag and am completing some shorts. Liz has made four wonderful memory cushions for me.
Liz took time to discuss in detail what I wanted.
One is made from my mums jacket. Liz had to work really creatively with a limited amount of material to make a lovely cushion, complete with a large pocket to keep a picture, and a smaller pocket for a precious keepsake.
Liz has also made three other memory cushions from my mum's bed throw. Again they have been made with such care and consideration which means so much.
I would thoroughly recommend Lilibet Sews and would not hesitate to be a return customer in the future.

I've always wanted to learn how to sew but never knew where to start. Then I found Lilibet sews. She made learning so effortless and in no time at all I was threading my machine and making my first tote bag. Lilibets style of teaching was very relaxed, patient and made learning very enjoyable. So much so I have took my sewing to another level. I have e made plushies, bags, cushion covers to name but a few. I can't thank her enough for giving me the confidence to learn this wonderful skill. She doesn't overcomplicate the learning process and when I inevitably made mistakes she expertly and calmly guided me how to correct them, wth plenty of laughs in between I was soon on my way to sewing confidently on my own.

I absolutely love the memory mamma bear she made for me — it brings a little bit of my mam back into my everyday life, and that means more than I can say.

I was considering purchasing an Industrial sewing machine to cope with lots of sewing for the Operation Christmas Child charity I volunteer with in Warrington as my home machine was slow and starting to struggle needing repair often due to excessive use . I own an interlocker ( Liz is used to this type of machine too ) but this is not suitable for secure seams I find .
Knowing Liz teaches sewing I contacted her to trail her machine . As they are extremely bulky and heavy so most homes would struggle to accommodate this type of machine . However Liz has hers set up in a garden room therefore I spent a day learning how to use her machine and we made about twenty bags together .
Her teaching was very clear , she is well conversant with this type of machine which makes light work , saves time and gave a good experience .and gave good advice about pricing structures for used and older machines for resale . I came away having a much better idea of what to avoid as it could be an expensive mistake . She also recommended a good industrial machine engineer she uses .
I would now be confident in purchasing this type of machine as have now got a clear idea of the pros and cons as Liz was a very competent and relaxed tutor . Just need a garden room now !
I would advise anyone to contact Liz to teach and understand the intricacies of these machines for sure . . Thanks Liz .

I’ve just finished 4 lessons with Liz at Lilibet Sews and honestly can’t recommend her enough.
I went in completely new to sewing, couldn't even turn the machine on. Four lessons and I've not only learnt a lot about how to use my machine and lots of tips, but I've also managed to sew a tote bag, make up bag and cushion cover with pocket. All under Liz's expert tuition!
Liz is incredibly patient, explains everything so clearly, and makes you feel completely at ease. She’s great company too, which makes the lessons genuinely enjoyable. If you’re thinking about learning to sew, definitely book with Liz. She’s brilliant!
