Live a Little is a specialist day service based in Herts and Essex for young people and adults with special needs. At Live a Little we offer a range of activities /projects and work experience in an informal, inclusive and safe environment, providing an opportunity for young people and adults to socialise and enhance their everyday skills. We have established a wide range of community-based and group activities, which include partnerships with different organisations. We provide opportunities to young people and adults of all ages and all ability levels. Our sessions are all about having fun, staying active and socialising; a great opportunity to make new friends, and enjoy a happy and healthy life! Giving our clients a voice – We actively welcome and encourage suggestions from our clients on suitable activities and projects to try, helping to ensure that the activities on offer are suitable, varied and interesting. To help support and encourage life skills we ask that our clients volunteer to help with small chores to improve individual development. This means that our clients contribute by: • Shopping for the weekly meals • Help to cook meals • Tidy the kitchen, dining and communal areas of our centre • Help with welcoming visitors with tea and coffees. These tasks are voluntary and supported by staff at all times. Our am is to help development of life skills and encourage team work and inclusion.
How We Work
Live a Little is available all year round and clients can attend up to 5 days a week, depending on personal budgets. A standard day session is 9:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Transportation is provided within a 15 mile radius from the day centre; services users outside this radius can be accommodated for an additional cost. Flexible hours are available, please contact us for more information. Our charges are in line with local standard hourly rates. Minibus transportation (collection and drop-off), activities/projects/work experience, all refreshments and lunch are included in the sessional cost. Service provision is contractual, terms & conditions apply.
What Makes Us Different

Our newly transformed modern centre with choices of all sorts of gaming (Playstation, Wii, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Virtual reality, Board Games etc).
