Hi, I’m Lynn and I live and work in the Stour Valley. If you, or a member of your family, feels lonely and could do with some company, you can contact me and I can pop in for a cuppa and a chat. I can also help around the home with things that might be getting a bit difficult for you, such as cooking a meal, housework, changing bed linen, gardening, shopping, pet care, picking up prescriptions, and much more. If you are struggling to drive or get access to public transport, then I can also help you with transport for medical appointments, outings or to visit family and friends.
Needless to say, I’m fully insured and have an enhanced DBS check to put your mind at rest. I’m a mature woman with a strong work ethic who prides herself on being conscientious and trustworthy. I can supply excellent references upon request.
Unlike some larger organisations, you can be assured that if you use the services of Lynn’s Helping Hands, it will always be me who visits you. I can be reached by phone or email and I initially recommend a meeting, if possible with a family member present, so that I can identify and agree with you what support is required and how often. I offer an affordable, flexible service which you can book on a regular or one off basis.

My cousin found Lynn in Jul 2023, as she had been feeling lonely and felt that she needed a little more companionship and extra help. Lynn met with my cousin and I, taking the time to understand what she needed and got to know her likes and dislikes. We agreed visits twice a week and the school holidays were managed smoothly without necessitating any emergency 3 hour round trips from me.
In Feb 2024 my cousin was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and as this cruel disease progressed, Lynn adapted to support her appropriately. She made sure she was ready to go to the Kingswood Centre, took her to appointments, organised trips to day centres, warm hubs, coffee with friends, trips to Garden Centres, visits to see birds and animals, or just companionship and help with day to day tasks
When my cousin’s needs increased, I still retained Lynn’s help for consistency and so that my cousin’s emotional needs were being met. Lynn’s ability to notice how my cousin was and flag changes in her health, find misplaced items, fix the tv with patience (the 100th time) and organise little tasks was an absolute weight off my mind.
Lynn is reliable, hard working, good humoured and professional, her support has been invaluable to all of us, and we do not hesitate to recommend her

Lynn has formed a strong bond with my mum. Their friendship makes a huge difference to mum’s quality of life. Lynn is always ready to help out, sometimes at the last minute with key tasks and appointments. Lynn is extremely reliable and well organised. Her positive outlook makes sure that whoever she’s with has fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lynn - she’s mange a huge difference to mum’s life since she’s moved to a care home.

Lynn has been an absolute blessing in caring for my aunt, who suffers with dementia. From the very beginning, her caring and compassionate nature shone through, and she treated my aunt with the utmost respect and kindness. Lynn has shown incredible patience, always taking the time to listen and provide comfort, no matter how challenging the day may be.
She is completely reliable and trustworthy, giving us as a family real peace of mind knowing my aunt was in the best possible hands. Lynn has been a huge source of support, not just for my aunt, but for all of us as well. Without her dedication and commitment, my aunt would not have been able to remain in her own home for as long as she did—a wish that was so important to her.
We are truly grateful to Lynn for everything she has done. She is an exceptional carer, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.
