Hello, my name is Eric. I believe in supporting you ‘your way’ and to make a difference in the lives of people I support. I currently work as a carer/support worker in different healthcare settings and have been in the care industry for 6 years. During these years, I worked part time as a carer while completing a Bachelor and Post Graduate degrees in Health and Social Care. In addition, I have completed all the mandatory training for healthcare practice, and hold registrations with Social Care Wales (SCW), NACAS, ICO and EWC. My DBS is registered on the update service.
My experiences are around domiciliary, residential, and dementia care. I have worked with individuals with dementia supporting them one to one, learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities, mental health, and support in nursing home care for example settling a discharged individual in a care home following doctors’ recommendations. I have also worked with non-verbal autism users with physical and learning difficulties supporting with a ceiling hoist, wheelchair, personal care, laundry, bed repositioning, medication, meal preparation and companionship. My experiences within residential care are working with mental health individuals. Support packages include working one to one, assisting with medication, care plans, budgeting, and provide information to access education or employment.
