Hi, I’m Mel. I am a Level 3 fitness instructor and dance choreographer with over 20 years of experience, I am passionate about improving health and wellness through fun and interactive group exercise and dance classes.
I am a fully insured specialist member of EMD UK and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate. with training in Mental Health Awareness, Suicide Alert, Dementia and Learning Disability, Safeguarding Adults, and First Aid.
I offer dance courses and workshops for the Wellbeing Services, BANES, which can be booked through www.wellbeing-courses.co.uk
Additionally, I teach classes for Age UK Somerset for the Ageing Well and Falls Prevention services, and I am qualified to teach Otago Exercise, a clinically proven programme that focuses on strength and balance and is aimed at helping to reduce falls in older people. I currently support The Active Way at Hope House Surgery in Radstock providing seated exercise and dance sessions as a stepping stone to their active travel programmes.
