Hi I’m Nicki. I started working within the NHS when I was 17, and remained working in the NHS in the Midlands for 13 years, until I moved to Devon in 2007
I then became self employed for 10 years, offering home help and cleaning services. I decided to rejoin the NHS 6 years ago, where I have gained more qualifications and experience. I have the Care Certificate (equivalent to NVQ level 3). After gaining more qualifications and experience it then gave me the desire to work for myself again in the community as a self employed, fully qualified Health Care Assistant/Carer.
I have experience in complex care in adults and children, elderly care, dementia, behaviour problems, learning disabilities, mental health, physical disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury, along with many more qualifications
I keep myself up to date with relevant training /courses which are updated yearly as I still work within the NHS 2 days per week (all can be sent over to you to have a look)
I am passionate about my work and am very proud of what I do.
I have Personal Health Care Assistant Insurance, Public Liability Insurance and an up to date, clean DBS and business use on my car so I can take clients out and about.
I offer support to those in need, from personal care, companionship, medication prompts, pet care, meal preparation, overnight sleeps, cleaning and light gardening, supporting to remain independent avoiding isolation, assisted outings (medical appointments, shopping, visits to friends, or even a few days away etc.)
