Nicki Poulton’s Helping Hands

Availability information last updated: 7th August, 2025

Hi I’m Nicki,

I’ve worked in care for over 6 years  having previously been a Special Needs Teacher in mainstream schools.

I have supported adults and young people and am passionate about helping people to continue to  live in their own homes if that is their wish.  I strive to facilitate people to make their own choices ensuring a person centred approach .

I am friendly, compassionate and a good listener  and am really interested in people and love hearing all about them so this is the perfect job for me.

My motivation is to ensure everyone has equal opportunities and I try to empower people to  enable them  to make their own choices.

I  spend as much of my spare  time as is  possible outside, either in my garden, on walks or travelling in our little campervan.  I love nature and animals especially my four old rescue cats.

Please give me a ring to discuss if you think I could help you.

I offer a wide range of services  for example:

Personal care

Companionship

Light housework

Meal preparation

Support with admin

Trips out

Pet care – I love animals, every kind!

I welcome people on direct payments and I am happy with the rate.

I have experience of working with people with additional needs, older people, and people with autism and ADHD.
