Hi! My name is Pete. As my listing title suggests, I am a handyman. For 8 years, I ran a property and garden maintenance business called Happy 2 Help U Ltd, serving Yeovil and close vicinity. I took a year away from business on health grounds, but now I’m back as a sole trader under the name, Pete Davies – Handyman.
What kind of work do I offer? Well, the list includes, plumbing, basic electrics, carpentry, kitchen and furniture repairs, picture and tv hanging, curtain pole/rail/blind installation, flat pack furniture, grab rails, hand rails, in fact, I’ll turn my hand to fixing and installing many things in and around the home and garden.
Work I don’t cover includes long ladder work, such as roofing and guttering, work on heating boilers, work requiring a qualified electrician, gas appliances, general building such as brickwork, whole wall plastering, patios, landscaping, kitchen or bathroom installations, fencing, floor tiling.
You might like to know that I worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the NHS for 12 Years. My year away from business was as an OTA with Somerset Council Adult Social Care. In my work now, as before, I am passionate that the people who give me the honour of working for them are treated with care, respect, courtesy and are not taken advantage of.
