Relax and Refine Therapies know that in order to help maintain mobility, help reduce stress and anxiety and improve overall wellbeing – as well as helping with feelings of isolation and loneliness – a relaxing massage can be extremely beneficial.
My name is Leanne and after 11 years of working in SEN education and care settings, I decided to use my experience and training to offer personalised, tailored massage – clothed Indian head massage, hand and feet massage, story massage and more – to adults and young people with disabilities, those living with dementia or those in their older years. This is possible through engagement with the client, families and carers, and the use of visual resources developed from years of working in specialist education and speech and language settings.
I promise to listen to each person’s needs during their session and encourage them to choose the style that suits them best, always respecting their privacy and wishes.
For example, clients can choose to have or not have:
calming music
an aromatherapy oil diffuser
massage visuals (menu) to express choices
adaptations about how and where they have a massage
We aim to bring individual or group sessions to the community. Group bookings and block sessions can often reduce the individual fee per client.
