A little about me

I have experienced both sides of the care industry, as a daughter arranging care for my mother, and as a professional.

I practised for many years as a qualified nurse in London hospitals and more recently as a care assistant, both in care homes and with domiciliary care companies.

In setting up as a personal care assistant I have drawn on this knowledge and experience, providing support that enables you to stay in your own home and remain as independent as possible. I believe people should be in control of their own support, and we will work together to find the best approach. Working independently allows me to take the time to get to know you while developing more in-depth knowledge of how you like things done and being able to adapt to changes when needed.

I can support you with:

  • Help getting up and dressed and ready for the day,
  • Helping with reminders to take your medication,
  • Preparing meals the way you like them,
  • Helping you keep your house the way you like it,
  • Taking a trip out to a café, or helping you meet up with friends, or keep up with a hobby,
  • Maybe stay and chat over a cup of tea while your family go out,
  • Take you to hospital or doctor appointments and advocating for you if you’d like that extra support,
  • And if there’s anything else you would like help with, we can work together on that too.
