Hi I’m Samantha,

I’ve been working in care for 25 years, and I still love it. I get to meet the most fantastic people and hear the most amazing stories. I also like being able to help someone and make someone’s day a little bit better. I’m happy if I have made someone smile by making them a cup of tea, or going on a trip out to the Broughton shopping centre.

I think there is no place like home, and I provide customers with help and support to improve quality of life when personal and domestic routines become more difficult.

In my spare time I foster dogs and have had over 20 dogs in the last few years, I love all animals and would happily walk your dog or play with the cats. I am also a keen cross-stitcher and I can turn my hand to most crafts. I am always up for trying new ones.

Sam was a huge support to my parents over the last 10 years of their lives. Always with a positive demeanour, she was able to lift their spirits even when things were difficult. She organised shopping (online and in-person), cooked meals and helped with personal care as required. As much as being a carer, she became a friend to both of them. Anyone would be lucky to have Sam Shaw looking after them.

Samantha has worked for me as a Carer for over 4 years. I was drawn to her warm personality as soon as I met her. She is calming, uplifting and empathetic, capable of responding to my moods and needs. She is responsible, Professional and very reliable, completing her tasks with ease. There have been times when Sam is the only person I've seen over Christmas or Easter, and I'm very grateful for her presence and support. Honest, trustworthy and caring with a quirky sense of humour, I cannot recommend her enough as she will be an asset to any families care package for themselves or their loved ones. I have not been paid for this reference and verify I am human.
