Sokho Community Care Services offers skilled care to support clients to achieve their optimum state of health and wellbeing.

The service was set up and delivered by myself (Norma Mutambirwa). I have worked in care since 2005 within a variety of roles from being a carer through to management positions and currently, I am training as a mental health nurse.

All individuals using the service will be respected, their dignity will be upheld at all times. Including support through personal decision making choices, individuals information kept in confidential at all times.

Sokho Community Care Support Services supports a range of people with varying needs including: older people, adults, young adults (16+), people with long term health conditions, dementia, Alzheimer’s, learning and physical disabilities.

Services offered:

·       Personal care

·       Shopping

·       Medication support

·       Collecting repeat prescriptions

·       Attending medical appointments, community activities or events

·       Going out for a walk together

·       Household chores such as preparing meals.

·       Staying with you for few hours if family needs to go out.

·       Providing a sleep in or wake in nights shift

Location:

The service operates in Central Bedfordshire covering the Shefford, Stotfold, Arseley, Langford, Henlow and surrounding areas

Qualifications:

·       Diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ  Level 5 leading into management.

·       Currently Training as a Mental Health Nurse, University of Hertfordshire
