Sort My Life is a small, down-to-earth enterprise that helps people make everyday life feel lighter, easier, and more organised.
It’s run by me, Amy. I am a film maker at heart but I’ve spent decades working in all sorts of roles — from legal offices, public services to arts, media and mental health.
I offer flexible, fairly priced support with the kinds of jobs that can pile up or just relentlessly keep coming: I can help you with things like: Sorting paperwork, running errands, planning events, setting up systems at home, tackling household projects, or simply having a good home cooked meal and lots more!
As a film editor, I also offer a unique service of video or photo life stories to help you remember loved ones or create memorable gifts – You can view my YouTube playlist below to see samples of work I have done for other people 👇
All in all, I am a great companion who listens without judgement, so if you are looking for someone kind and practical to share the load or want to just be a bit silly for a few hours, I’m here for you.
Want to tell me more about you? Complete and submit this REGISTRATION FORM or just give me a call, text or email and I will go through it all with you.

My son Scott has been with Amy for a few weeks now. Scott has said that he finds her cheerful, helpful and she’s always on time which is importantfor him. He always comes home happy and full of enthusiasm.
Scott looks forward to his time with Amy and the different things they do is so good for him as he can get bored easily.
Thank you Amy

Daniel loves going out with Amy. They always chat about what he’d like to do, and she comes up with ideas that suit his social and physical needs, which makes their outings fun and interesting for him. She’s reliable, flexible with her hours, and very easy going.
He finds her great company, they have a good laugh together, lots of fun, and he really enjoys their banter. When we were looking for someone new, it was important that he felt comfortable and could get along with the person, and Amy has been exactly that.

I am an older and vulnerable person, Amy has been supporting me since December 2025 move away from a vulnerable situation and into supported living. For the first time in my whole life I feel safe. It was scary moving but she helped me settle in, supported me in change all my addresses and utilities, and feel comfortable in my new surroundings.
With her encouragement, I now have the confidence to go to the shop on my own with my scooter and even make new friends. She supports my independence gently and at my pace, never rushing or taking over.
Now that all the practical things are sorted, Amy and I get out and about and I am starting to enjoy life again. She makes things like going to the theatre possible, always thinking ahead about my accessibility needs so I can enjoy myself without worry.
Her professionalism, kindness, communication and problem‑solving are outstanding, and I always feel respected, included and safe. I am 100% satisfied with the support I receive

I cannot sing Amy’s praises enough. Amy and I connected following the loss of both my parents as I wanted to put together a video to play at their Memorial Day. I had no idea how to do this and I really wanted something which looked professional. The result totally blew me away. Amy had not only put together a technically brilliant collage of photos and video footage timed perfectly over some of my parents favourite music, but she had really captured the essence of the people they were. It’s a masterpiece. Amy worked so hard to ensure the results exceeded expectations and I cannot put into words how much the beautiful video she created means to me.
Amy is highly motivated, enthusiastic and a true perfectionist. She’s a real grafter and naturally talented. I cannot recommend Amy enough.

Amy produced a fab little video of my parents wedding day from the 1970s - it was all on VHS tape so they hadn't been able to watch it for years. Amy got the VHS tapes converted and created a lovely video with added sound and music so it brought the silent tapes to life. It made a wonderful Christmas present which they were thrilled to watch. Highly recommend.

Amy,
I can’t tell you how thrilled we are with the montages you’ve done of Hannah. Instead of hours and hours of grotty tapes we now have a wonderful vignette of Hannah’s first six years. We love the music you have chosen and now have a treasure we can revisit at any time. Indeed, we can’t stop watching it and showing it off to friends and family. A million thanks.

"Everyone needs an Amy" - that's what my late wife always used to say, and it's true. I couldn't have got through the last 2 years without her help. When my lovely Daphne was near the end of life, she was not able to walk well and was prone to falls but I had to work long hour.
So, Amy set us up with a device system where Daphne could voice control the lights and Amy set up security cameras a so we could see and communicate with people who came to the front door. The main thing was that she could voice activate a phone call to let me know she was in trouble if she fell. Daphne felt so much safer knowing I able to see her but loved that she was still able to be independent. Amy also researched and found a local cleaner, Lauren, to come in every day just to take the load off. Lauren and Daphne became great friends.
Towards the very end, Daphne asked me to marry her. It was a bittersweet, so joyful and sad at the same time. Amy arranged it so an official registrar visited our home to assess us and then married us just 3 days later. It was magical and couldn't have happened had it not been for the swift action by Amy to make all those enquiries and phone-calls to make it happen. She even arranged for family to come for the ceremony and arranged for them for be catered for.
In preparation for the funeral, I sent Amy all of my favourite photos and videos of Daphne and she put together a beautiful tribute video that was played during the service. I regularly watch it and remember the good days.
I have since enlisted Amy's help with a number of administrative tasks that I have found difficult. She helped me put a filing system in place to keep on top of my paperwork and came with me to visit my solicitor to navigate probate proceedings, which was really complicated. I was glad to have her there to ask questions I didn't even think of asking.
Highly recommend Amy. She just knows what to do in every situation. I trust her with my life.
