Hello my name is Ally, I offer a Specialist End of Life Care Service, which is patient centred and addressing your needs is a priority. This allows me to dedicate time specifically to you, being flexible around my availability and can offer 24 hour and live in care, if needed, and respite care. This all important care and support allows people to be in their own beds in their own homes with family and friends around them, aiming for it to be as relaxed and stress free as possible, at this precious and sad time.
I have many years of professional experience and skills; firstly as a retired qualified nurse and also working for Hospiscare and as a community nurse. I am DBS checked, insured, a NACAS member and have ICO registration.
I am experienced in supporting and addressing all personal care needs: incontinence, mouth care, hydration, dressings, skin assessments and equipment needs, plus supporting family and loved ones. I am experienced in communicating effectively with other health care providers: GPs, community nurses, hospitals, Hospiscare, regarding support for excellent symptom control and maintaining comfort.
I feel that End of Life is such a personal time, and it has always been a privilege and passion to nurse at this stage of life. I am passionate that those I look after receive a holistic approach and excellent care, with continuity, compassion and dignity.
