Socialising, companionship and friendship,

We are Starlight, a charity run by and for people with mental health issues offering peer support to our members.  We set up because we wanted to listen to our members voices an make sure that everything we do is led by people with mental health issues.  We are a User Led Organisation which means that our board of trustees is run by people who have experience of mental health issues and who know what it’s like to use mental health services.

We run our groups on Wednesday and Friday afternoons for anyone with a mental health issue and who wants to;

• Make new friends
• Meet up with existing friends
• Find out about other support services and opportunities in Barking and Dagenham
• Learn some new skills through our facilitated sessions

We want to support better networks for people with mental health issues so if you are interested in becoming a member and joining in our groups please get in touch!
