Welcome to Stepping Out Into Nature

Delivered by Cwm Taf People First, Stepping Out Into Nature is a supportive, person-centred service for adults with a learning disability—we will also consider anyone who feels our service may be right for them.

We focus on what matters to you—your interests, your goals, your pace.

What can you do?
You can take part in a wide range of activities, including:

* Walking and exploring nature
* Cycling
* Swimming
* Bushcraft and outdoor skills

We also support people to enjoy:

* Theatre trips
* Sporting events
* Days out and new experiences

If there’s something you’d like to try, we’re always happy to talk about it.

How it works?
We are a paid service, and you can use:

* Direct Payments
* Or other personal income

Support can be provided:

* One-to-one
* Or in small, friendly groups

Our team
Our staff team includes both male and female workers.
This helps us offer choice and comfort for the people we support.

All staff are experienced in working with adults with a learning disability.

All staff hold an enhanced DBS check.

The organisation is fully insured.

Staff complete regular training, including:

  • Vulnerable adult safeguarding training
  • Epilepsy awareness training (on a rolling basis)
  • First aid training

Staff working in outdoor roles also complete advanced outdoor first aid training.

Our aim
To help you step outside, try new things, meet others, and enjoy meaningful experiences in a safe and supportive way.

Areas: Rhondda, Cynon, Taf & surrounding areas including Cardiff, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan
