Hello! I am Alison. I set up Support by Choice to offer help and support to people living with Dementia and their families/carers.
I am able to help you with companionship, support with jobs around the home, going out to social activities, outings, shopping, cleaning, cooking, puzzles, reading, hobbies, walks with your dog, accessing work or volunteering and much more. Whatever support you need, in your way. (I am not able to help with personal washing and dressing, showering or personal care needs but anything else will be happy to help with).
This is only a small example of how I can help as you will have your own way of living and likes and dislikes which I am happy to help you with.
I am aware of the impact of supporting someone with dementia on family carers so I am able to be a reliable, flexible, compassionate support to your family member when you need a break. I can offer respite in the home when you want to take a break from a few hours to overnight/weekends.
