Taskforce has its base at our garden project in Malvern. Everyone involved chooses what vegetables we grow and can opt to have their own raised bed or pitch in with the group as a whole. Our main activities revolve around volunteering with a variety of identified projects with organizations such as English Heritage, National Trust, The Duckworth Trust and many more.
At present the group has chosen to be supported to volunteer at Witley Court in Cripplegate Park (Worcester) and at St Wulstans Nature Reserve in Malvern. We choose the tasks we undertake and sometimes work alongside other volunteers or independently. Transport to the locations is provided.
Most importantly everyone is supported to be involved whatever their ability. Individuals learn new skills, make new friends and make a real difference to the projects we get involved with.
Favourites to date are activities like bulb planting, woodchip path laying, hedgeline cutting, willow cutting, bracken clearing.
We are also starting a new project upcycling second hand tools sourced from junk shops. The plan is to do this on those days when the weather is too grim for working outside.
