About Me
I’m a friendly, compassionate and reliable support worker providing personalised one-to-one support to people of all ages. I’m passionate about helping people feel confident, valued, included and independent, while providing practical and emotional support that is tailored to each individual.
I have a Foundation Degree in Mental Health and experience working with people with mental health conditions. I also have experience supporting children with learning difficulties, and understand the importance of patience, understanding, consistency.
My approach is person-centred, respectful and non-judgemental.
I can provide support with:
Companionship and befriending
Mental health and emotional wellbeing
Support for people with learning difficulties
Support for children and young people
Community access
Social activities
Support to maintain independence
Practical support at home
Shopping and errands
Appointments
Confidence building – encouraging individuals to try new things
Routine and structure
Support to get out and about – helping people access their local community
Positive encouragement and motivation
Family support – providing practical support that can give families and carers some additional reassurance and help.
I understand that everyone is different, and there is no “one size fits all” approach to support. I therefore work with each individual and, where appropriate, their family to understand what support would be most helpful.
Whether someone needs regular companionship, support getting out into the community, help with everyday activities, emotional encouragement, or additional support to maintain their independence, I aim to provide a service that is friendly, flexible and genuinely centred around the individual.
