My name is Anita, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve felt drawn to helping others, especially those who are often overlooked or simply need someone to notice the small things. As I spent more time around elderly people, neighbours, family friends, and later clients, I realised how much they give, and how often they go without the simple, everyday care they deserve. Over time, I began to see how many elderly people were living with quiet needs, small things like help with meals, walking their dog, or simply wanting someone to talk to. Not just care, but connection. That gentle realisation became the seed for The Steam Fairies.
I didn’t build this business just to provide services. I built it to bring peace of mind to families and companionship to those who spend too much time alone. I’ve shared laughter over cups of tea, held hands on hard days, and learned that real care is about connection just as much as it is about the task.
I work with honesty, compassion, and consistency. Whether I’m preparing a favorite dish, walking a cherished pet, tidying a kitchen, or simply sitting and listening, I’m there with my full attention and heart.
Through The Steam Fairies, I now provide personalised domestic care for the elderly across Bedford and surrounding areas. My services include cooking, light cleaning, errands, dog walking, and friendly companionship. But really, what I offer is trust, consistency, and a kind presence.
