Thrive Outdoors

This provider has yet to add availability information.

It is such a privilege to care, support and enable people to help find joy, connection and fulfilment in life.  I offer totally bespoke support for people (listening and spending time getting to know individuals’ passions and motivations, is an ongoing and integral part of my practice).  I see the huge benefits in being and doing in the outdoors.  I help individuals with life skills, self regulation, physical rehabilitation, self confidence, independence, moving toward paid employment and ultimately increasing their enjoyment of everyday life (first aid, enhanced DBS, Outdoor quals- RCI and ML).

I am a caring, empathetic, fun,  patient and experienced person.  I have been doing support for individuals for over a year.
I have 20 years’ teaching experience with 4 and a half years of which were at James Rennie school.   Lots of working knowledge of sensory regulation, processing time, scaffolding language, PECS, demand avoidance, Makaton, moving and handling and personal care.  I have experience in supporting  individuals with visual impairment, hearing impairments and individuals with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties.  One of my areas of expertise is supporting individuals with ASD.

My wife and I have 3 teenagers and enjoy travelling, touring in our camper van, the outdoors and music (particularly singing).  We also have our lovely family dog Albie (working cocker) who would also love (if appropriate)  to help support individuals with his calm and loving nature.
