Regular general cleans, (with care if required), one off deep cleans,
Decluttering & organising,
Downsizing,
& Therapeutic Hoarding Support.
Within my previous role as an experienced social worker in adult social care, I worked with many people who are unable to maintain their homes due to a decline in mental/physical health.
My therapeutic service is for those living in cluttered and hoarded homes who require a slower pace to work through their items, rather than a one off, deep clean.
Hoarding is something I am extremely passionate about. I have completed training with Hoarding UK, Clouds End and have extensive professional and personal experience in this area.
I developed a very successful cleaning business in 2005 but ceased trading when I became pregnant with my daughter, at the same time as my dad being diagnosed with aggressive cancer. I cared for him through his illness, which led me to work in care. I then trained to become a social worker with adults in the community and hospitals.
Reflecting upon my own upbringing; I have been able to recognise my mother had hoarding behaviours. Our home was chaotic and disorganised. My training supported me to understand her trauma and life experiences which led to this. No one chooses this! Hoarding disorder became a recognised mental health condition in 2018. It can lead to breakdown in family relationships and support networks, often only identified when things reach crisis..
