I’m Amanda and thank you for reading my profile for U-nique Care.
I’m a wellness support worker with vast experience in all sectors of health and wellbeing. I pride myself in delivering quality care to meet you/your loved one’s individual needs.
I have worked in health and social care settings for 15 years including being a nurse.
I have a passion for supporting people in the community whilst making it person centred.
I offer help and assistance with:
*Wake up calls: getting you/your loved one out of bed and ready for the day (showering, breakfast, medication prompts).
*Lunch time calls: help to prepare a healthy nutritious lunch for you/your loved one. This ensures nutritional/hydration needs are met.
*Tea time calls: let me help you/your loved one prepare a hearty main meal of the day. I love cooking and it’s a lovely time to chat and have some company too. I’ve watched a lot of Masterchef 🙂
*Assistance and collection of prescriptions and help with medical appointments: let me help you take the stress away and support you/your loved one.
*Sit in service: let me look after your loved one whilst you have some well deserved rest.
We can chat/sing/look back on memories etc. I tailor this accordingly to preference/needs.
*Dementia and mental health social support: I support people to lead independent lives in the community and encourage social inclusion. I visit pubs for meals, groups, social groups, shopping visits etc.
Please feel free to contact me for an informal friendly chat.

Amanda helps my mum who has complex mental and physical health needs.
She’s cleans, cooks and does separate companionship visits for mum, nothing is too much for Amanda. She is kind in nature and caring.
Mum has two cats too which Amanda manages - as well as everything else.
Nothing is too much for Amanda, I would recommend her to anyone, she’s a shining star. 🌟

Amanda comes to care for my Mum at her home three times a week. Mum has Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's.
Amanda takes my Mum out to coffee shops, for short walks in Trentham Gardens, the hairdressers and to visit her Sister. She also helps my Mum with household tasks such as changing the bed, washing clothes, cleaning and tidying. She encourages my Mum to help her with these tasks. She prompts my Mum with her medication and helps with her personal care also.
My Mum really likes Amanda coming to help her as she is now familiar to her as she is regular with her visits.
My Mum would not accept different carers coming from a care agency, she needs consistency and time which she receives from Amanda visiting. I also benefit from having breaks from caring for my Mum when Amanda visits.
Amanda is very patient and kind to my Mum and is very experienced with working with people with Dementia.
I would definitely recommend U-nique Care Services.

Social services recommended Amanda to our family as my mum has advanced dementia and I'm so glad Amanda has entered our lives!
She is kind, caring and attentive to all of my mums mental and physical health needs, her many years of nursing is demonstrated in how she cares for my mum. Amanda goes above and beyond to help mum with everything it's too much to mention how much much she does!
Thank you Amanda x

Amanda is a carer for my mother in law, who has Alzheimer's.
She is a lovely person, very caring and helpful, with a great sense of humour. She has built up a lovely relationship with my mother in law, in just a few weeks. So glad we found Amanda.

I have Amanda call to our home twice a week to help with my husband who has vascular dementia!
She is absolutely brilliant with my husband, washing him and changing his clothes. She is an absolute godsend, just those 2 times a week gives me slight respite from doing the same routine every day!

Amanda looks after a relative of mine who has complex mental health issues.
My relative has had numerous carers due to the complexity of my relatives' illness but Amanda has so far been the longest serving one!
Amanda is punctual, compassionate and caring which naturally shines through. She has a positive attitude and nothing to is too much to ask. She provides mental and emotional help and support, physically helps with chores and helps my relative with appointments, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc. I often thank Amanda for all that she does.
My relatives pip is well spent on Amanda.

Amanda cares for my elderly mum several times a week. She is a reliable and caring qualified nurse who carries out the required tasks of personal care, as well as some household chores, very well. I'm not sure how we would manage without her! We are definitely very grateful for all that she does for mum.

Amanda offers a fantastic service. She’s warm, friendly and reliable. Amanda has been happy to help with whatever I need, and she adjusts her care based on how I’m feeling that day. As someone living with MS, I really appreciate Amanda’s adaptability, positivity and her understanding of changeable health needs.

Amanda has been a god send. She is very patient and caring. I don't know what we would do without her. She cares for my mum and stepped in when her last carer was unable to continue working. She is reliable and was recommended by a trusted friend. I hope she be able to care for my mum in the longer term.
