Vale Community Impact

This provider has yet to add availability information.

Vale Community Impact (VCI) is a local charity serving the entire Vale of White Horse district in Oxfordshire. We exist to support vulnerable and isolated residents, helping them live healthier, more connected, and more independent lives. Our work is rooted in compassion, community, and practical support.

We offer three core services:

  • Advice: Free, confidential help with debt, benefits, housing, and cost-of-living challenges. Our trained advisors empower clients to regain control and improve their financial wellbeing.
  • Good Neighbour Scheme: Tackling loneliness and isolation through befriending, shopping support, and pop-up cafés. These monthly events provide a welcoming space for older adults to connect, access information, and engage with local services.
  • Transport: A volunteer-led scheme offering affordable, pre-booked rides to medical appointments, day centres, shops, and more—operating Monday to Friday across the Vale, including Wantage, Faringdon, Shrivenham, and surrounding villages.

VCI works closely with local partners including neighbourhood policing teams, trading standards, and other voluntary organisations.

Our impact is personal and practical—whether it’s helping someone stay warm this winter, attend a hospital appointment, or simply enjoy a friendly chat over tea. VCI is here for the Vale, every day.
