Walk Wild Wellbeing

Availability information last updated: 10th December, 2025

WalkWild offers a range of services designed to encourage and promote wellbeing, including, enablement, life-coaching and mentoring.

Enablement is about supporting you to overcome your anxieties, whether it be leaving the house to access a community activity, going to the shops or improving your self esteem

As a qualified and regular walk leader, I can offer these services as walk and talk in nature, this could be in your local park or in a nearby woodland / open space, or online or by telephone.

Many scientific studies have proved the benefits of walking or being in nature can bring, and previous clients have many stories of how much their mental health has improved following enablement sessions in a “Wild” environment.

WalkWild offers a kind, nonjudgmental, compassionate and understanding service designed to help you move forward and has been designed to meet your needs without all the tick boxing of statutory services.

WalkWild has over 15 years of working in a social care or mental health service, for charities and the local authorities, so understands the frustrations and limitations these services offer.

Please take a look at my website www.WalkWild.net for further details of the full range of services available, these also include services dedicated to disability and accessibility in individual and group settings.

I look forward to hearing from you.

WalkWild – Rewilding lives one step at a time.

Reviews of Walk Wild Wellbeing

Samantha

For eight years, depression and anxiety had me feeling disconnected from myself and the world around me, trapped inside my own head and home. Working with Michael and his unique focus on nature-based therapy has completely shifted my relationship with my mental health, and with life itself. What makes Michael so special is how he’d weaved the healing power of the natural world into every part of our work together. Instead of just talking in a room, we’ve walked through woodlands, sat by rivers, tended to a small garden plot, and spent time observing wildlife in local parks. He taught me how to use grounding techniques rooted in nature, noticing the texture of bark under my fingers, listening to birdsong to calm my racing thoughts, or feeling the sun on my skin to bring me back to the present moment. Michael, helped me see that nature doesn’t judge, rush, or demand anything of me, qualities I’d lost touch with in my own self-perception. Through guided activities like forest bathing, identifying local plants, and even simple acts like collecting smooth stones or pressing wildflowers, I’ve learned to slow down, find peace in small details, and rebuild a sense of purpose and connection. When my anxiety spikes or depression clouds my mind, I now have a box full of nature-based strategies to turn to, and being outdoors feels like coming home to myself. Michael understands that nature isn’t a “cure-all,”but they’ve shown me how it can be a powerful partner in healing. They’ve helped me build sustainable habits that keep me connected to the natural world, even on days when leaving the house feels impossible. If you’ve been struggling with mental health and feel drawn to the idea of finding healing in the outdoors, I can’t recommend Michael and their nature-based approach enough.
