Windrush Home Support is a local, family-run service providing practical help, companionship and reassurance to older people who want to continue living independently at home.

We offer regular scheduled phone calls, home visits and welfare checks, along with practical help with everyday life. This can include shopping and small tasks, home safety support, arranging or liaising with trusted contractors and helping people prepare for and attend appointments.

We can also offer support around appointments and communication — helping people prepare questions, take notes if helpful, keep track of what has been discussed and keep family members informed where appropriate and with permission.

An important part of Windrush is reassurance for families. With the older person’s agreement, we can provide updates to a nominated family member after calls and visits, helping everyone feel connected when they cannot always be nearby.

Support is personal and flexible. We take time to get to know each person, what matters to them and how they would like to be supported. Our service is discreet, with no uniforms or branded vehicles.

Based in Witney, we support older people across surrounding West Oxfordshire villages. Windrush provides non-medical home support and companionship; we do not provide personal care or nursing care.
