Yoga Focus was established in 1998 to deliver gentle yoga restorative classes, workshops for specific health conditions and 1:1 yoga therapy to meet the specific needs of ‘each’ individual to improve their health, happiness and wellbeing.
Yoga Focus is particularly suited for those suffering from a health condition, who are unable or not comfortable to attend a physically challenging mainstream yoga class.
Restorative Yoga classes: open to all needing to restore health and wellbeing, this is a gentler style of yoga to; deeply release tension stored in the body through postures and movements; restore energy through breathwork; calm the mind through deep relaxations
Small group workshops include: Yoga therapy for MS, Yoga Therapy for Stress, Anxiety & Depression, Yoga Therapy for Cancer, Yoga Therapy for Mental Health conditions, Yoga Therapy for Older person conditions
One to One Yoga Therapy is person centred, meeting the needs of each individual rather than fitting in with what is being taught in a yoga class. The yoga therapist has undergone extensive training (post yoga teacher) to assess your health and choose yoga practices that are specific to your health need.
Founder of Yoga Focus, Nikki Jackson retired Occupational Therapist, has worked in both NHS and private sector since 1992, helping people to restore their health. She runs a training school in Yoga Therapy for health professionals and yoga teachers to become yoga therapists .
