I provide support to individuals with mild mental health needs who are recovering within the community, as well as those with mild autism and learning disabilities. I also work with older adults in their own homes, offering tailored support that promotes independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
My role involves assisting with a range of daily living tasks, depending on each person’s individual needs. This may include support with routines, personal organisation, attending appointments, or managing day-to-day responsibilities. Alongside practical support, I place a strong focus on encouraging engagement in meaningful and creative activities that enhance wellbeing and provide a sense of purpose. The individual’s interests, preferences, and goals always guide these activities.
I am passionate about reducing social isolation and understand the impact it can have on mental and emotional health. I support individuals to build confidence, maintain existing relationships, and develop new social connections within their communities. This may include accompanying individuals to local activities, encouraging participation in community groups, or simply providing consistent companionship.
My approach is person-centred, respectful, and flexible, ensuring that each individual feels heard, valued, and supported in a way that suits them. I aim to empower those I support to take an active role in their lives, promoting independence while providing the reassurance and guidance they need to feel safe and confident.
