When enterprises expand, it is essential that they do so with everything in place to ensure safety, legality, a people-centred approach, and long-term sustainability. As such, when they’re ready to grow, the right support can make all the difference. Community Catalysts Cardiff recently welcomed back some people who’ve been on the Community Catalysts Development Programme, who started out as sole traders and made their ideas a reality. Now they’re thinking about what comes next – growing their business, taking on staff, reaching more people etc.
Business Wales joined us to share practical advice in their ‘Growing Your Business & Recruitment’ session, providing the kind of tips you can take and use straight away. We also heard from Race Equality First who gave us a real insight into the work they do and the ways they can support people and communities in Cardiff. The session wrapped up with an overview of care and support regulations and what they involve if you expand your micro-enterprise. These micro-enterprises will continue to provide a personalised service, giving customers the opportunity to meet both the employee who will be delivering their care and the micro-enterprise leader overseeing their support.
It was a room full of conversation, ideas, and encouragement. If you’ve been wondering whether you could do something similar, get in touch with Sam on sam.walker@communitycatalysts.co.uk and let’s start that journey together!
