Breaking news in Wantage – the Delaney’s Nightclub (formerly Shush, at The Regents Shopping Mall, Newbury St, OX12 8BU) has started fortnightly inclusive disco evenings for adults with learning difficulties and their carers.
Anita, the Community Catalyst for Oxfordshire, met with Terry who is a partner in the nightclub. Terry is very keen to have something on at Delaney’s that every member of the community can come along to and enjoy. Very quickly after that one meeting, Terry has already planned the evenings.
Starting at 19:30 on Thursday 11th of April, the DJ will play all of your favourite tunes for you to enjoy. You can ask the DJ to play the songs you would like to hear, and if you would like to you can have a dance too.
These inclusive evenings will be happening fortnightly, with April dates being 11th and 25th April etc. There is no wheelchair access at this venue.
It is £5 entrance and carers go free.
