Preparing for the winter nights – warm spaces are back

As the clocks go back and cold, dark nights will soon be here, the winter can be a challenging time for people struggling on limited income. Making the difficult decision whether to heat or eat should not be something we should have to do.

B&NES Council have launched their warm spaces directory on the Livewell website, listing venues across the county offering warmth and opportunity for company.

Check out the directory.

Now in its fourth year of running, the scheme has venues across B&NES, offering a range of facilities for all ages, including refreshments, free WiFi, access to books, magazines and newspapers, toys, baby changing facilities, information and advice, activities, and more. (Please note that facilities vary depending on the venue.)

If your organisation offers a warm space, or similar facility or activity, they would love you to join the scheme. It’s free, quick, and easy for a venue to get involved.

Register as a new warm space in B&NES. (Please note that private homes are not eligible.)
