Better, Now: A collaborative call to action at NCASC 2024

We’re delighted to be partnering with Shared Lives Plus and the National Development Team on Inclusion (NDTi) on a campaign to highlight a range of proven approaches that are reshaping social care.

Better, Now is a call-to-action that highlights the transformative impact of community-based care models. Together we challenge commissioners and decision-makers to rethink their strategies around care and support.

We’re excited to be joining forces at the National Children and Adult Services Conference (NCASC), taking place in Liverpool at the ACC from 27-29 November.

If you’re there, visit us on stand A5. Together we will be showcasing how investing in local care models can build meaningful relationships, improve independence and make more efficient use of community resources. Our shared message is clear, the time to invest in strengths-based, local care is now.

Ewan King (Shared Lives Plus), Pip Cannons (Community Catalysts), and Bill Love (NDTi) said:

“Commissioning processes, individual funding and provider development can all be used differently. Used better. We need ambition and vision which is committed to understanding what is possible and focusing investment into community and values-based approaches.”

NCASC is one of the largest gatherings of professionals involved in social services, drawing over 1,000 delegates from the public, private, and voluntary sectors. The conference will also feature key speakers, including Stephen Kinnock, Minister of State for Care, who will deliver a keynote address.

Better is possible and is possible now.

We look forward to seeing you there!
