We’re delighted to announce that the Coalition for Personalised Care (C4PC) is now an independent charity – a goal that we have been working towards with partners over the last year.

The Coalition is a movement of people with lived experience of health and social care and their representative bodies, health providers and commissioners. They believe that what matters most is health care that is personalised and enables people to live the lives they want.

Pip Cannons, CEO at Community Catalysts said:

We are thrilled to see the Coalition for Personalised Care achieve charitable status. It has been an absolute pleasure to host C4PC over the past seven years and we look forward to working with them as a partner.

The new charity has a Board of Trustees, the early members of which are Frances Tippett (South West Integrated Personal Care); Brian Fisher (Health Creation Alliance); Beth Clark ( Wessex Academy for Skills in Personalised Care); and Sian Lockwood (When I Get Old and #SocialCareFuture).

The Board is currently putting in new structures and resources that the new charity needs to be effective. This should all be in place in the coming weeks.

Sian Lockwood, a Trustee of the Coalition for Personalised Care commented:

We want to express huge thanks to Community Catalysts who hosted our Coalition for nearly seven years and are helping and supporting us with the transition into our own organisation.

We look forward to working with the charity and wish them every success.
