Community Catalysts and Hertfordshire County Council Adult Social Care are hosting a free community information event bringing together a wide range of local care, support and wellbeing services in one place.

It will be held on 16 September (10am-2pm) at Stevanage Football Stadium.

This event is an opportunity to:
• Ask questions and receive advice from local professionals
• Connect with local services and support organisations
• Discover activities, groups and opportunities in the community
• Explore care and support options available across Hertfordshire
• Learn about referral pathways and how to access support
• Find ways to stay active, independent and connected

Who should attend?

This event is for Hertfordshire residents, self-funders, Direct Payment holders, unpaid carers, social work professionals and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations.

You could be a Hertfordshire resident looking for support, an unpaid carer seeking advice on benefits, rights or returning to work, or a working-age adult with a disability or long-term health condition wanting support to find employment or become more active. Or a social worker looking for community resources to help people stay independent and connected, or a VCFSE professional wanting to understand local services better. You will leave the event with valuable information, useful contacts, referral pathways and a greater understanding of the support available in your local community.

Who will be there?

Several community and voluntary sector organisations will be there to provide information and guidance. These include Herts Help, Carers in Herts, Memory Support Hertfordshire, Live Longer Better, Age-Friendly Hertfordshire, Mind Hertfordshire Network, Citizens Advice, Steps 2 Skills and Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT).

Representatives from Hertfordshire County Council Adult Social Care will be available to discuss:

• Available support and care services
• Eligibility for adult social care
• Care and support options
• Direct Payments and how they can be used
• Accessing support for yourself or someone you care for
