Bath and North East Somerset

Building a network of small enterprises that can offer care and support to older and disabled people in their homes or in the community – otherwise known as community enterprises.

This is an 18-month partnership project with Bath & North East Somerset Council to develop community enterprises.

The focus is on supporting community enterprises that can offer help at home to older people, as well as enterprises that can support adults with physical, learning, or other disabilities in the community. This work will help address market sufficiency issues and offer a greater choice to people who are looking for care and support.

As part of the project, we have developed a directory to showcase community enterprises in the local area.

“Bath & North East Somerset Council is delighted to be partnering with Community Catalysts to help grow and develop our community enterprise offer locally. We are excited to be working on this innovative project, which aims to provide greater choice and flexibility for residents of Bath and North East Somerset. This project will supplement, and work alongside our existing commissioned support for adults.”
