Release your Potential

This three-day training programme is designed to support new leaders at the start of their leadership journey.

Through a range of group exercises, this programme will introduce you to a range of practical leadership models and concepts that you can apply immediately in your day-to-day role.

The programme aims to create time and space for you to reflect on your own full leadership potential, and to explore what kind of leader you want to be as you move into a new leadership role.

This is an intensive programme designed to help you learn and explore:

  • leadership and its importance in health and care
  • the unique responsibility leaders have to maintain the quality of care
  • some practical tools for leading and managing
  • finding your voice as a leader
  • followership as well as leadership
  • effective meetings
  • enablers of effective team working
  • how the health and care system is structured and how to navigate this system as a leader
  • the importance of developing key relationships.

Is the Release Your Potential programme for me?

This is an entry-level programme specifically for people who are at an early stage in their career journey and keen to undertake formal development to help grow in confidence and competence.

This programme is open to people from clinical and non-clinical roles working in all parts of the health and social care system including:

  • NHS providers and trusts
  • voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector
  • local authority.
