Building a network of community enterprises that can offer care and support to older people at home.

A two-year partnership project with Devon County Council to develop community enterprises. The project has a focus in the Exeter south and west cluster, from Tedburn St Mary and Pathfinder Village, round to Starcross, Dawlish and Teignmouth corridor.

The focus is on supporting community enterprises that can offer help at home to older people, as well as enterprises that can support adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or people who have challenges with their mental health. This work will help address market sufficiency issues and offer a greater choice of care options.

As part of the project, we have developed a directory to showcase community enterprises in the local area.

Devon County Council is excited to be working with Community Catalysts to find new ways to meet the needs of the people of Devon; solutions that work at a very local level and respond to the individual choices of people who need care and support
