Hi! I am Annette, your new Wrexham Community Catalyst. I have worked in health and social care as well as within the charity sector for a number of years. What prompted me to become a Community Catalyst? I wanted to use my experience to support people to create change in how care is provided in the UK.
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been learning about the great work of Community Catalysts and the impact community micro-enterprises are having across the UK, shaping how healthcare is being delivered through creating choice and opportunities.
As I move closer to completing my induction, it has become clear how detailed the community micro- enterprise development programme is and the skills needed to support community micro-enterprises along their journey of completing the Doing It Right standards to ensure customers receive safe person-centred care.
I am looking forward to connecting with new and existing community enterprises and communities to make a positive impact on how people access care and support in the Wrexham area.
Just to let you know, our free development programme is running across Wrexham. Our help is totally free to you because this project is funded by Wrexham County Borough Council and run by Community Catalysts – we are a social enterprise operating across the UK which supports local people to help other local people.
To get to know me, please check out my profile on the Community Catalysts website.
