People and organisations who want to join the Small Good Stuff Directory must be delivering or plan to deliver supports or services that:
- Are small, flexible and person-centred
- Are provided in local communities
- Value the person and their gifts
- Promote diversity and equality of opportunity
- Are compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements
- Are viable and offer security to the people who use them
Members are expected to follow high standards of professional practice and to be committed to:
- Ensuring that their service is centred around the person and designed to meet their requirements
- Ensuring that their service is safe and follows safeguarding principles
- Continually improving the quality of the service that they offer
- Continually improving and developing their own knowledge and skills and supporting their workers to do the same
At the time of joining Small Good Stuff they must also:
- Have 8 or fewer full time equivalent workers (paid or unpaid)
- Be independent of any larger or parent organisation
