Community Enterprise Catalyst (Cambridgeshire)
Anna has recently joined Community Catalysts, working in the East Cambs and Fenland Area to support small businesses and micro-enterprises find community solutions to older people’s care. This cohort is a new area of work for her and she is really looking forward to learning more about the needs and wishes of our older communities. Anna lives in East Cambs so the area is very familiar to her and she has a good understanding of the geography and demographics and resource gaps.
Originally Anna trained in London as a secondary drama teacher with a Special Educational Needs specialism and spent time working in Autism units across Brighton and Cambridgeshire and worked for a drama school part time. She moved into working for the Local Authority in Cambridge where she has held a variety of roles over the last 18 years. Anna specialised in multi-disciplinary work, working with schools, families and across social care, health and education with a continued interest in Learning Disabilities and Autism. She has recently worked in the Commissioning sector managing a portfolio of providers offering bespoke tuition to young people with SEND. Anna spent some time working freelance over the last couple of years, running her own consultancy business, assisting to help a counselling service to become a Community Interest Company and running a social media and fundraising campaign for a local expressive arts charity.
Anna is really passionate about her work with vulnerable groups and working to empower people to find their own solutions and she really looks forward to her journey with Community Catalysts.
In her spare time Anna loves listening to music, writing, reading and going to the theatre (she loves a musical!), live comedy and music festivals.07881 297330
