Director of the Local Area Coordination Network
I am passionate about the power of community and helping people and groups achieve their potential. A lot of my work has been focussed on helping people facing homelessness, people seeking asylum and people who are refugees to live their best lives and share their gifts. I love hearing people’s stories, bringing people together and working with groups to build on the abundance of assets we have in our communities.
I live in Newcastle with my wife Louise, our daughter’s Anna and Sophie and our Tibetan Terrier Poppy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching telly (literally anything), listening to comedy podcasts, making podcasts with Clenton Farquharson, cooking, volunteering, travelling and running.
I love working for Community Catalysts where I lead the Local Area Coordination Network across England and Wales. Local Area Coordination is an exciting and principled approach that is having a significant impact in the areas who have embraced it. It is a pleasure to work alongside those involved in the approach, bringing our Network together and finding ways to bring the vision to even more areas.
Recently I’ve established something called New Social Leaders – a fresh new take on leadership learning and a growing movement of likeminded values driven leaders from our “social” sectors (charities, community orgs / enterprises, local government, housing associations etc.)07407 789130
